Lukashenko declares reliable protection of the borders of Belarus

Belarusian border guards skillfully counteract all attempts to destabilize the situation on the borders of the republic. This was announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on May 28.

According to him, for more than a century, the history of the border guard service has been inextricably linked with the formation of the Belarusian statehood and is filled with vivid examples of valor and bravery.

"Today, the border guards, relying on the traditions and experience of veterans, skillfully apply the latest technologies in the field of security, reliably counteract all attempts to destabilize the situation on the borders of the Republic of Belarus," Lukashenko stressed in a message of congratulations on Border Guard Day published on the Telegram channel Pool One.

He also noted that 85 years ago, it was the border guards who were the first to fight in the Great Patriotic War, defending the Soviet borders. The President stressed that a highly professional border guard service had been established in the country over the years of independence.

A possible topic for discussion will be the purchase of Belarusian petroleum products.

On May 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the personnel, civilian personnel and veterans of the border guard service of the FSB of the Russian Federation on the occasion of a professional holiday — Border Guard Day. Separately, the President noted the importance of the border guard service during the Great Patriotic War.
