The European Union (EU) wants to demand that Russia limit its armed forces in the event of negotiations on Ukraine. This was stated on May 28 by the head of the EU diplomatic service, Kaya Kallas, upon arrival at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Cyprus.
"We must demand the same concessions from Russia as Russia demands from Ukraine. If military restrictions apply to Ukraine, they should also apply to Russia," she said.
