In 12 hours, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed nine drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies over the regions of Russia. This was announced on May 27 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"From 8:00 to 20:00 Moscow time, nine Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said in a statement on the Maks messenger.

It is specified that the drones were shot down over the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
