Sales of the new SKM model from AVTOVAZ may begin in the fall

AvtoVAZ plans to start selling vehicles of the new commercial SKM M9 family in September this year. This was reported on May 27 by the Avtotok Telegram channel with reference to representatives of the company. The preliminary price of a minivan in the "Business" version with a manual transmission is about 5 million rubles.

According to the channel, the SKM M9 is a renamed Chinese IVECO Fidato. The model was presented at the Comvex exhibition in Moscow the day before. It is planned to be produced at production sites in Nizhny Novgorod and Tolyatti.

The front-wheel drive SKM M9 is equipped with a two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 150 hp. paired with a nine-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. The model will be presented in four versions: a seven- and eight-seater minivan, a nine-seater minibus and a van.

The SKM M9 will be the second model of the new brand after the SKM M7, which began shipping to dealers in mid-May. The recommended retail price of the new product starts from 2.86 million rubles. The model is based on SRM brand cars from the Chinese manufacturer Shineray. Large-scale assembly of machines is carried out at a subsidiary of VIS-Avto.
