The Ministry of Finance will adjust budget parameters due to changes in macro conditions

The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will adjust budget parameters due to changes in macro conditions and the need for additional concentration of resources in important priority areas. This was announced on May 27 by Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.

"Will the budget parameters change? Yes. The reason is the change in macro conditions compared to previously planned ones, as well as the need for additional concentration of resources in important priority areas," he said in an interview with the Kommersant newspaper.

As the minister noted, his department, in coordination with the Bank of Russia on the main macro indicators and monetary aggregates, is doing everything necessary to ensure budget balance.

What tools will help achieve this?

Siluanov said on May 3 that the Russian budget would receive about 200 billion rubles due to the rise in oil prices on world markets. He clarified that revenue receipts and shortfalls to the state budget over the past two months have been at the same level, so these indicators will eventually balance each other.
