The United States did not join the statement on the situation in Ukraine, which was read out on May 26 by the Ukrainian Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Andrei Melnyk.

"We call for a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire, and also stress the urgent need to take concrete humanitarian measures," RIA Novosti quoted a fragment of the statement.
