A system of smart cameras for monitoring the situation on beaches has been launched in St. Petersburg. 137 devices that detect violations have been installed in the Resort area.

According to the Smolny press service, the equipment appeared on the beaches of Komarovsky, Zolotoy, Dunes, Detsky, Zelenaya Gora, Laskovy and Ofitsersky.

The cameras will record bathing in prohibited places, smoking, the presence of water transport and the appearance of animals on the shore. The system is also able to count the number of vacationers and make audio announcements.

The connection of rescuers to the Safe City system is also being completed. They will be able to view the connected cameras in real time and the results of processing all events on the beaches.

It is expected that the system will significantly reduce the time required to identify incidents and ensure timely response even in remote areas.
