In Russia, there are developments against a new strain of Ebola. This was announced on May 26 by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko at the international forum on safety.

"Today we have developments, we have already created a new strain of Ebola vaccine," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to Murashko, in the state, the path from diagnosis to the creation of vaccine preparations takes a short time. The minister noted that Russia is the only country that has so-called "canned vaccines" in its arsenal. He explained that based on the available platforms, it is possible to refine the drug for a specific task for the prevention of diseases.

On May 17, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor noted that there is currently no risk of Ebola spreading in Russia. As part of the federal Sanitary Shield project, enhanced sanitary and quarantine control is in effect at all checkpoints, and an automated Perimeter system is used to assess risks.
