Roskomnadzor denied reports about the alleged collection of users' IP addresses.
Roskomnadzor does not collect the IP addresses of users of telecom operators, such data is not transmitted. This was reported to Izvestia by the press service of the department on May 26.
"In connection with the false publications that appeared in the media, we inform you that the agency does not collect the IP addresses of users of telecom operators," the message says.
The agency also stated that in accordance with Roskomnadzor's order No. 51 dated February 28, 2025, telecom operators provide data on the IP addresses of the equipment used by them and their users. Data on specific consumers of the equipment is not transmitted to Roskomnadzor.
The press service of Roskomnadzor reported that in April of this year, almost 8 thousand phishing resources were blocked. In addition, more than 1.2 thousand DDoS attacks on public administration systems and telecom operators were reflected during the month. The longest attack lasted more than five days. The attacks were most often carried out from IP addresses from the USA, Brazil, the Netherlands, Germany and France.
