An exhibition on cooperation with AvtoVAZ has opened in Italy

The Turin — Togliatti exhibition dedicated to cooperation with AvtoVAZ has opened in Italy. The press service of the domestic car company told about this in its Telegram channel on May 26, sharing footage from the scene.

The exhibition is located in the historic Fiat center in Turin, where in May 1966 Fiat and the Soviet government signed an agreement on the construction of a large automobile plant on the Volga.

"An unprecedented industrial project led to the birth of the city of Tolyatti and the production of the Lada car, or rather, the VAZ—2101 model of the Soviet version of the Fiat 124, which became one of the most popular cars in the USSR," AvtoVAZ noted.

The exhibition tells about an industrial, political and cultural event that connected Italian and Soviet cities. Documents, images and archival materials tell about the birth of AvtoVAZ and the construction of Tolyatti — about how it looked from the Italian side.

How is the quality control system at the Tolyatti plant?

On the same day, it was reported that the SKM brand line from AvtoVAZ will soon be replenished with the new M9 model. It is planned to be produced at production sites in Nizhny Novgorod and Tolyatti. The model will be presented in four versions: seven- and eight-seater minivans, a nine-seater minibus and a van.
