Zakharova announced plans of the West to seize the resources of other countries through IT technologies

The West, under the guise of transferring information technology on bonded terms, will take away natural resources from developing countries. This was announced on May 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"You will see how, under the guise of, so to speak, beneficence, IT technologies will be transferred to developing countries. And then resource contracts will be concluded in parallel. Contracts for the exchange of resources on absolutely bonded terms," she said at the International Security Forum.

Zakharova noted that finished products in the IT sector will further consolidate the dependence of developing countries. At the same time, they will be forced to give up their natural resources, she stressed.

Zakharova said last December that African countries were not yielding to Western pressure and were not abandoning ties with Russia. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that these countries, despite all the promises of the West about numerous loans, did not break off relations with Moscow.
