Strong explosions continue to be recorded on the far side of the Sun, the consequences of one of them "hooked" the Earth and provoked a moderate radiation storm in its vicinity. This was announced on May 26 by scientists from the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

"Powerful explosions continue on the far side of the Sun. A new event occurred around midnight Moscow time today. <...> The latest plasma release from the far side of the Sun was even able to hit the Earth. In any case, a (moderate) radiation storm is currently taking place in the vicinity of the planet," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that the solar coronagraphs observing what is happening were able to capture another atypical phenomenon — it is known as the "snow effect". It refers to the streams of cosmic particles.

Now researchers are continuing to monitor the situation with other large sunspots. They begin to gradually move towards the side visible from the Ground.

The first major solar explosions became known the day before. It was clarified that the phenomena also provoked the release of plasma into outer space. This period of activity marked the restoration of the activity of the Sun, which had previously predicted the onset of a short-term "dead season."
