Kalashnikov will show a new carrier drone for FPV drones
For the first time, the Kalashnikov Group of Companies will demonstrate complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for vertical takeoff and landing called Fortis. This was announced on May 26 by the press service of the concern.
The new development will be demonstrated at the International Security Forum under the auspices of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. The event will be held from May 26 to May 29 at the multifunctional complex "Live Arena" located in the Moscow region.
"The UAVs included in the complexes can perform the function of carriers of FPV drones and, after reset, control them by relaying the signal from the ground control center, which significantly increases the distance of using FPV drones to solve various tasks," the Telegram channel says.
The Fortis system, as noted, is characterized by stable communication at a distance of up to 100 km and the ability to stay in the air for up to eight hours. The device is designed to monitor the airspace, recognize moving and stationary objects both on the ground and in the airspace. The development is capable of fulfilling the tasks of aerologistics.
The creators offer three modifications of the complex. The Fortis 30 model has a load capacity of up to 5 kg and a speed of up to 90 km/h at a flight altitude of up to 2.5 thousand m. The Fortis 50 version is capable of carrying up to 7 kg at a speed of up to 100 km/h at an altitude of up to 3 thousand m. The most powerful modification, the Fortis 100, is designed for cargo delivery weighing up to 18 kg with a cruising speed of up to 110 km/h.
The press service of the Kalashnikov Group announced the presentation of another project at the forum, the Skat-220 drone. This device can operate at speeds up to 160 km/h and stay in the sky for up to 2.5 hours. Three days earlier, the concern had presented the Kub-10ME guided munition to the public. It can be used even at night at altitudes ranging from 80 to 1.8 thousand meters at a cruising speed of 120 km/h.
