NBC News has learned about the US search for tungsten to create weapons

The United States is forced to conduct a desperate search for tungsten to meet the needs of the defense industry amid depletion of reserves due to the war in Iran, as well as the dominance of China. This was reported on May 25 by NBC News.

"As the United States wages war against Iran, they are rapidly expending stocks of high-tech weapons and ammunition. <...> To fill them, the heavy—duty metal tungsten will be required, which is dominated by China in production and refining, which forces the United States to desperately look for it elsewhere," the publication says.
