The expert spoke about security measures in case of threat of bear attacks in Japan
On May 26, Sergey Andreev, a representative of a Japanese travel company, told us what measures should be taken to protect ourselves and our loved ones amid the growing number of bear attacks in Japan.
"For a while, you can refrain from visiting the mountains and at least not walk the mountains alone - attacks are most often reported on those who went to the mountains alone. In this case, the Japanese advise hanging bells on backpacks to scare away bears, but I think it's more important not to leave the hiking trail, climb mountains during the day when it's light, and be with other tourists," Medvedev told RIA Novosti.
