Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law on debt cancellation for credit obligations of participants in a special military operation (SVO) who have signed a contract for military service from May 1, 2026. The relevant document was posted on the official Internet portal of legal information on May 25.

The Law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
