- The media learned about Iran's readiness to export uranium to China as part of negotiations with the United States.
Iran is ready to export highly enriched uranium from the country, and negotiations are underway to transfer it to China. This was reported on May 25 by Al Hadath TV channel, citing high-ranking sources.
"Sources also reported <...> that Iran is seeking guarantees from China before proceeding with the implementation of the agreement with the United States," the publication says.
At the same time, the Iranian Tasnim news agency in the Telegram channel denied the TV channel's message about Iran's readiness to transfer uranium to another country. According to the publication, there are no obligations of Iran regarding the nuclear program in the text of the agreement, and the fakes spread "correspond to American psychological operations."
On the same day, US President Donald Trump noted that negotiations between the US and Iranian delegations were progressing successfully. At the same time, he said that in the event of a failure of negotiations, the war in Iran will continue in a larger and more aggressive form than before the ceasefire.
The New York Times reported on May 24 that the Iran-US agreement contains a clause on Tehran's renunciation of uranium. At the same time, the details of this point remain unclear, as the parties have not yet agreed on how Iran will have to get rid of its uranium reserves.
