The Avtomobilist Hockey Club announced the termination of the contract with 36-year-old striker Stefan Da Costa. This was announced by the team's press service on May 25.

"Striker Stefan Da Costa is leaving Avtomobilist. The contract with the 36-year—old player has been terminated by mutual agreement of the parties," the club's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that the club paid the French striker the proper compensation.

Da Costa has been playing in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) since 2014. He spent a total of six seasons with Avtomobilist, repeatedly became the team's top scorer and participated in KHL All-Star Matches. Together with the Yekaterinburg team, he took first place in the Eastern Conference and won the bronze medals of the championship.

In total, Da Costa played 368 KHL matches with Avtomobilist, scored 112 goals and provided 203 assists. The club thanked the player for his outstanding performance and wished him success in his future career.

In April, HC Avtomobilist and striker Reed Boucher also terminated their contract. The Yekaterinburg club prematurely terminated the contract with the American athlete on the initiative of the player himself. At the same time, the rights to Bush in the KHL remain with Avtomobilist.
