Zakharova declared a challenge to Russia
Russia has been challenged, trying to undo the past and deprive the country of its future. This was announced on May 25 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
Speaking at the presentation of the federal creative works platform "In the Name of Heroes" at the National Center "Russia", she stressed the importance of preserving historical memory. According to her, the struggle for historical memory has become one of the most important fronts of our time.
"The challenge that has been thrown at us is not only about today and it is not only about yesterday. He is, most importantly, about the day ahead, about the future," RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.
Zakharova also quoted Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov, who argued that "a nation that does not remember its past has no future."
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that in the modern world it is necessary to achieve an equal dialogue at a time of unprecedented challenges in international relations and the economic sphere. He stressed that the country is open to constructive cooperation with partners who share the principles of mutual respect and are ready to build honest long-term relationships.
