June 1941, Leningrad is living a peaceful life. In jail, Shapkin finds new allies among the hardened criminals — Kirillov and Kosharny. Together they go on a daring escape.

During the investigation, it turns out that the robbery of cash collectors is the result of a mistake by saboteurs, but the true purpose is secret documents that the courier of the General Staff of the Red Army delivered to Leningrad. The war begins. The bandits are confident of the victory of the Germans and are ready to carry out the most inhumane orders of their Nazi masters for the sake of a reward. Now, Lvov and his associates face the deadly task of stopping a criminal gang that will soon turn into the sinister ZIG ZAG gang. The battle for the city, for the Motherland begins.
