This year, it is planned to open 25 unique production facilities on the territory of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. The creation of new enterprises "will give the city over 8,000 high-paying jobs," he wrote on his channel in Maks.
In particular, the SEZ will start producing innovative energy-saving, environmentally friendly lighting devices, modern cancer drugs, optoelectronic devices for high-speed data reception and transmission, printed circuit boards and aircraft interiors. "Two plants for the production of lithium—ion batteries will also start operating at once," Sobyanin said. "They will be part of Russia's largest and only cluster for the production of electric batteries." Thanks to these two enterprises, "in the coming years we will almost completely cover the demand of the domestic market for these products," the mayor stressed.
Last week, Sobyanin announced that by 2030, the area of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ will almost triple to 5.7 million square meters, and total investments will grow 2.4 times to a record 1.2 trillion rubles.
According to the mayor, Technopolis Moscow is the largest SEZ in Russia "both in terms of investment volume and the size of operating enterprises." He noted that more than 2.1 million square meters have been built on the territory of the special economic zone. m of industrial and public and business areas. The total volume of private and budgetary investments in the development of industry in the SEZ by the end of 2025 amounted to 493 billion rubles.
More than 240 high-tech companies are located in the capital's SEZ, 129 of which have resident status, the mayor said. More than 30 thousand high-paying jobs have been created on the territory of the SEZ.
