The agreement between the Iranian and American sides provides for the opening of the Strait of Hormuz by Tehran within 30 days from the date of the deal. This was reported on May 24 by The Washington Post (WP), citing sources.

"According to the latest proposal signed by the diplomat, Iran will immediately open the Strait of Hormuz and take steps to ensure the return of shipping to pre—war levels within 30 days," the publication says.
