Zakharova advised Macron to watch the footage from Starobilsk
French President Emmanuel Macron needs to get acquainted with the footage from Starobilsk of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) after the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the college. This was announced on May 24 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"Let (Macron. He will ask the French journalists who are currently in Starobilsk to show him the footage," she said in an interview with TASS.
According to Zakharova, Macron should show the footage of the destroyed college in order to understand the consequences of Kiev's support. This is how she commented on the publication of the French president, in which he announced his intention to continue supporting Ukraine after a massive strike by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on military installations on Ukrainian territory.
On May 24, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces, in response to Kiev's terrorist attacks against civilian infrastructure, launched a massive retaliatory strike, including the Oreshnik missile system, at Ukrainian military command facilities.
On May 22, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk College. A criminal case was opened into the attack under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act"). 21 people were killed in the attack, and 63 others were injured. The names of all the victims of the terrorist attack have been established. May 24 and 25 have been declared days of mourning in the Luhansk People's Republic.
Representatives of foreign media arrived at the college dormitory in Starobilsk on May 24. More than 50 foreign media representatives from 19 countries are participating in the press tour. Later it became known that they had left the territory of the destroyed dormitory. For more objective reports, journalists were given the opportunity to move freely at the scene of the tragedy.
