The AfD accused Merz of pursuing a course for the benefit of Ukraine

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is pursuing a policy not in the interests of his own citizens, but in favor of Ukraine. This was stated on May 23 by Tino Krupalla, co-chairman of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) opposition party.

"Our AFD faction in the Bundestag is pursuing a policy in the interests of Germany, and the federal chancellor is in the interests of Ukraine," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Krupalla also stated that the party opposes Ukraine's hasty rapprochement with the European Union. The politician called for the development of the German economy and energy infrastructure.
