A resident of Balashikha inflicted several blows on the head of his young daughter in the elevator of an apartment building. This was reported on May 23 by the Investigative Committee of the Moscow region.

A video appeared on social networks showing a man, obscenely speaking, hitting a little girl. The incident occurred on Boyarinov Street in Balashikha, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk clarified in her Telegram channel.

Investigators have opened a criminal case on the torture of a minor child. According to the Investigative Committee, the torture may be systematic. All the circumstances are currently being established, and a number of investigative actions are planned.

"A criminal case has been opened on the torture of his minor child by a local resident (paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the Investigative Committee said in a message on the Maks messenger.

The man has been identified by the police, and employees are working with him. The Balashikha City Prosecutor's Office has organized an investigation into the publication of the video and will provide a legal assessment of the actions of the child's legal representative. If there are grounds, prosecutorial response measures will be taken.
