Consul General of the Russian Federation called the film "Blood Type" important for preserving historical truth

Paintings such as "Blood Type" are important for preserving the memory and truth about the Great Patriotic War (WWII). This was announced on May 23 by Anatoly Kargapolov, head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Hong Kong.

"It is very important for us that films like Blood Type are nominated and win at international festivals. Such paintings preserve the historical truth about the events of the Great Patriotic War. After all, passing on this memory to the younger generation is our common duty to those who gave their lives for their Homeland," Kargapolov said.

He presented Inessa Yurchenko and Sergey Shcheglov, general producers of Triix Media, as well as Ekaterina Kirillova, editor‑in—chief, with the Golden Petrel statuette, the main prize of the Asian Feature Film Festival in Macau. Triix Media Film Company thanked Kargapolov, the organizing committee of the festival, partners and the audience. The victory of the "Blood Group" in Macau was an important confirmation of the power of Russian cinema and inspiration for further work, the film company added.

The film was shot with the support of the Cinema Foundation, the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation, the Russian Military Historical Society, Gazprom Media Holding and the Movement of the Former.
