Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov jokingly proposed a new interpretation for the abbreviation of the SWAP Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, noting that it could be understood as a "special military operation of political scientists." He stated this on May 23 during a meeting of the XXXIV Assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy.

The diplomat pointed out that he considers political scientists to be among those people who have vast experience and work to achieve their goals.
