1969 USSR football champion Sergey Rozhkov died at the age of 84.

Sergei Rozhkov, a former midfielder and coach of Spartak Moscow, died at the age of 84 after a long illness. This was reported on May 23 in the Telegram channel of the football club.

Rozhkov played for Spartak in 1963-1965, 1967-1969 and in 1974. In total, he played 161 matches for the team. As a member of the red and white team, the footballer became the USSR champion in 1969, and also won two national Cups (1963 and 1965).

In 1984, Rozhkov worked as a coach for Spartak. In addition to the Moscow club, he played for Alma Ata "Kairat" and Ryazan "Spartak". Rozhkov has played one friendly match with the USSR national team. The club expressed its condolences to the family and friends.
