SpaceX: Test Starship exploded after returning from space
SpaceX's Starship spacecraft exploded after flooding in the Gulf of Mexico following a test mission. This was announced on May 22 by the press service of the organization.
"The flood has been confirmed! Congratulations to the entire SpaceX team on the twelfth Starship test flight," reads a post on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
According to SpaceX, during the flight, the ship lost one of its six engines during spacewalk.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced on May 15 that the SpaceX Cargo Dragon space truck is heading to the International Space Station (ISS) with new scientific experiments. It is known that the Dragon ship will deliver to the station almost 3 tons of various cargoes, including food and equipment for scientific research.
