- Dozens of people were injured during the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on a college in the LPR. What is known
On the night of May 22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked an educational building and a college dormitory in the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR), 35 people were injured. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
The circumstances of the incident
The Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted the academic building and the dormitory of the Starobilsk Vocational College at night. According to LPR Governor Leonid Pasechnik, 86 children aged 14 to 18 were in the buildings at the time of the attack.
As a result of the strikes, 35 people were injured. In addition, some of the children are still under the rubble. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region clarified that rescuers had pulled three students from the rubble.
In Starobilsk itself, administrative buildings, shops and private homes were also damaged, and one civilian was injured. Special services are working at the scene of the incidents, and investigators are recording the damage.
Reaction of the Russian Foreign Ministry
Rodion Miroshnik called the attack by Ukrainian militants a terrorist act. He stressed that such actions are war crimes, for which, as he noted, inevitable punishment will follow.
"Ukrainian militants have committed a terrorist act, endangering the lives of children. The Nazis, like trapped rats, are trying to bite at the most painful thing, making attempts on minor children and innocent civilians," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted that the strikes were aimed at children. She also accused Western countries of covering up this incident and compared it to the massacre of German Nazis against students in Kerch during the Great Patriotic War.
