In the Sumy region, detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) killed their own militants while trying to surrender to the Russian Army. This was reported on May 22 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"In the Sumy region, several AFU combat groups from the 21st separate mechanized brigade were killed by their own barrage units while trying to surrender," the source told TASS.

According to him, the Ukrainian barrage detachments began using the calculations of the 50th artillery Brigade of the 14th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
