A hacker attack was carried out on the warning systems of the Ramenskoye Municipal District in the Moscow region, as a result of which signals were heard. This was announced on May 22 by the head of the district, Eduard Malyshev.

"The notification system was subjected to a hacker attack, which triggered warning signals in all territorial departments and in the city," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Malyshev stressed that the situation in the district is calm and under control. There is no threat to citizens, and the entire local infrastructure is operating normally.

The head of the Ramenskoye Municipal District called on his fellow citizens to remain calm and trust only official sources of information, which included his administration's website, his own social networks, official Telegram channels and accredited media.

Dmitry Pilipenko, Deputy General Director of the LANSOFT IT holding, spoke to Izvestia a day earlier and pointed to a doubling in the number of cyber attacks on Russian companies last year. According to him, attackers are now not only stealing data, but also deleting it to complicate subsequent recovery.
