In the United States, the execution of the death sentence for an American was postponed for one year due to the fact that law enforcement officers spent more than an hour trying to find a vein. This was reported on May 21 by CNN.

"The governor of Tennessee granted Tony Carruthers a one-year stay of execution after his lethal injection was suspended on Thursday due to law enforcement officers trying to find a vein for more than an hour," the publication says.
