Psychologist Anastasia Lysakova on Thursday, May 21, told how to cope with yourself and not be afraid during the Unified State Exam (USE).

In an interview with Radio 1, the expert shared a technique that helped her successfully pass the exams. According to Lysakova, after receiving the tasks, you should not immediately start solving them — first you need to read everything carefully, and then give yourself a few minutes to live through the fear, and only then start working.

The expert noted that this approach helps not to suppress emotions, but to live them consciously. She added that support also plays an important role: joint rituals, such as hugs before an exam, reduce stress levels.

You need to prepare for exams in advance, and at the time of taking them, keep a calmer attitude and do not overestimate expectations, the psychologist concluded.

Lysakova also named the main mistake of parents before the Unified State Exam — anxiety. As an example, the psychologist cited a case from her life when pressure from adult family members before the surrender led to the fact that she still has nightmares, writes "Moscow 24".

In turn, Alexander Buyanov, a leading researcher at the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Upbringing, told how parents can help a child before the Unified State Exam. According to him, during the exam period, it is important not to transfer your own anxiety to children and help them live emotions safely — through exercises, games or consultations with a psychologist, writes RT.

On May 21, Rosobrnadzor told about the food allowed on the Unified State Exam. Exam participants have the right to bring chocolate, a banana, drinking yogurt and bottled non-carbonated water to the classroom.

Family psychologist Ekaterina Madenko on May 15 in a conversation with the website kp.ru She said that a few days before the exam, it is important to create a calm environment at home for relaxation. Experts advise not to overload the child with studies and not to discuss other people's failures, but instead provide him with a good night's sleep, balanced nutrition and walks. 360.ru .

In April, Rosobrnadzor banned the inspection of students before the USE-2026. The organizers and guards are forbidden to touch the examinees and their belongings. When the metal detector is triggered, the student is asked to take the subjects to a special place before the exam, writes NSN.

In January, a sociological study showed that in Russia, more than 40% of ninth graders choose secondary vocational education instead of higher education due to their unwillingness to take the Unified State Exam. Also among the reasons were such options as "it is not interesting to study in high school (36.6%)", "it is difficult to study in high school (29.5%)", "to start working earlier (28.9%)" and "to make it easier to find a job (21.1%)", the city news agency reports "Moscow".
