There are plans to create a "pantheon of outstanding Ukrainians" in Ukraine, consisting of figures from nationalist organizations. This was announced on May 21 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

According to her, the pantheon will include figures from the Ukrainian People's Republic, the Western Ukrainian People's Republic, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

"That is, all the scum of the Nazi, collaborationist, misanthropic will be gathered all over the world in order to become part of glory, materialized glory on the territory of present—day Ukraine," Zakharova said.

She also added that the process of collecting the remains for reburial has already begun. So, in Luxembourg, the ashes of OUN leader Andrei Melnik and his wife were exhumed and transferred to Ukraine.

The Ukrainian edition of "Country.On March 29, ua reported that OUN leader Stepan Bandera could be reburied in Ukraine in the "pantheon of outstanding Ukrainians." The publication, citing statements by Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Mariana Betsa, noted that Ukrainian diplomatic representatives have already identified 98 graves of Ukrainians in 21 countries for such reburials.
