A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops liberated the village of Shesterovka in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost up to 195 militants, 14 vehicles and an electronic warfare station.

In addition, the Zapad group of troops took more advantageous positions and defeated the manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces in the areas of the settlements of Lesnaya Stenka, Druzhladovka, Cherneshchyna, Kharkiv region, Yatskovka, Krasny Liman, Tatyanovka and Prishib of the DPR. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 190 militants, an M113 armored personnel carrier, two armored vehicles, 24 vehicles and a field artillery cannon.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. They defeated the manpower and equipment of the mechanized, two airborne assault brigades and an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of settlements <...> of the Dnipropetrovsk region, <...> Zaporozhye region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 340 servicemen," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated the training center for unmanned systems specialists, fuel and energy infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition depots, assembly shops and storage sites for long-range drones and unmanned boats, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down three guided aerial bombs and 516 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 150,139 UAVs, 661 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,399 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,723 multiple rocket launchers, 35,024 field artillery and mortars, 62,155 pieces of special vehicles.
