The reaction of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to the hypothetical use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine would be "devastating." This was announced on May 21 by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a press conference in Brussels.
"If this [the use of nuclear weapons in the framework of the Ukrainian conflict] happens, the reaction will be devastating," RIA Novosti quoted Rutte as saying.
