Fraudsters stole more than 6 million rubles from residents of Irkutsk region

Over the past two days, scammers have deceived eight residents of the Irkutsk region. The total damage exceeded 6 million rubles.

One of the victims was a 59-year-old man. The conman communicated with the victim, posing as an employee of the special services. The interlocutor convinced the Irkutsk resident that suspicious activity was registered on his accounts, and convinced him to transfer the money "for declaration."

According to IrkutskMedia news agency, scammers continue to use various deception schemes, including sending links to fake online stores.

In Ulan-Ude, a 65-year-old woman gave 1.47 million rubles to fraudsters. She expected to receive income from "investments" in cryptocurrency.
