The Russian Armed Forces have liberated 80 settlements since the beginning of 2026. This was announced on May 20 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"In 2026, about 80 settlements were liberated, including 35 in March and April. <...> The process is underway," he said in an interview with the Shanghai Media Group (SMG), the text is published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
