According to him, by 14:00 Moscow time, the thermometer at the VDNKh weather station had risen to 30.0 degrees.
"The previous daily record of maximum air temperature, which was held for 129 years, has been beaten," Tishkovets wrote on his Telegram channel.
The hydrometeorological center reported yesterday that the temperature in the capital has updated the record for May 19, rising to 30.5 degrees in the afternoon. The previous achievement for this day belonged to 1979, when the air warmed up to 30.2 degrees.
