The Prosecutor General of Russia, Alexander Gutsan, called the delay by the Federal Bailiff Service in the execution of decisions on the conversion of assets into state revenue a serious problem. This was announced on May 20 by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation following the results of the board of the department.

"Despite the active lawsuit work and a significant amount of property recovered to the treasury, further supervision of the execution of judicial decisions by authorized bodies requires significant adjustments," Gutan said.

He pointed to systemic miscalculations in the activities of the Federal Property Management Agency and the bailiff service, which have not established effective asset management, their safety, sale and involvement in turnover.

According to the Prosecutor General, situations where property complexes seized by the court continue to bring income to the former owners, are illegally used by third parties or fall into disrepair, discredit all previously carried out work. The officials who allowed this will be held strictly accountable by law. The Prosecutor General stressed that supervision in this area will be systematized and strengthened.

Gutsan announced on April 15 that assets worth 2.5 trillion rubles, including 32 strategic enterprises whose owners acted in the interests of Ukraine and other foreign countries, had been returned to the state. He emphasized that the intervention of the prosecutor's office was due to the destructive policy of the foreign owners of these facilities.
