Oleg Kononov has left the post of head coach of Torpedo Moscow

Moscow football club Torpedo and head coach Oleg Kononov have terminated their cooperation by agreement of the parties. This was announced on May 20 by FC's press service in its Telegram channel.

The specialist served as the head coach of the black and white in two stages: from January 2024 to August 2025, and then returned to the team in October 2025. Under his leadership, the Moscow team achieved entry into the top division, taking second place in the First League at the end of the 2024/2025 season.

In the 2025/2026 season, the club, led by Kononov, finished in ninth place in the PARI League table. The representatives of Torpedo thanked the coach for the work done and wished him success in his future professional career.
