The Israeli Foreign Ministry announced the detention of all activists of the pro-Palestinian flotilla Sumud

Israel has detained 430 pro-Palestinian activists of the Global Sumud Flotilla, which was heading to the shores of the Gaza Strip. This was announced on May 20 by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Another PR flotilla has come to an end. All 430 activists have been transferred to Israeli vessels and are on their way to Israel, where they will be able to meet with their consular representatives," the ministry said in a statement on the social network page X (ex. Twitter).

According to the country's Foreign Ministry, the flotilla's attempt to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza was "just a PR stunt" in the interests of the Palestinian group Hamas.

The NYT newspaper reported on April 25 that the US authorities may refuse to issue a green card to people who criticized Israel or supported Palestine at rallies.
