The Lithuanian leadership was taken to a shelter during an air raid

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda and other representatives of the country's leadership went down to the shelter during an air raid due to a potential drone attack. This was announced on May 20 by the Delfi Lithuania portal in its Telegram channel.

The Lithuanian leader is accompanied by Prime Minister Inga Ruginene and Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas Jozas Olekas.

"Lithuania has issued an air alert in some parts of the country after a suspicious drone was detected near the border," the Lithuanian Defense Ministry wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Residents of Vilnius also descended into shelters. Footage of Lithuanian schoolchildren hiding under desks during an alarm has also spread on social media.

Public transport was stopped in the Lithuanian capital. Vilnius Airport has also temporarily stopped working.

The alert was later lifted.

The support of the Kiev regime led to unpleasant consequences.

A day earlier, a drone was shot down over Estonia. It was noted that this drone probably belonged to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), but lost its intended target — from Russia. The head of the country's Defense Ministry, Hanno Pevkur, called on Kiev on May 10 to keep its UAVs away from the republic. Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine apologized to Tallinn for the incident with the drone, while the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs tried to shift responsibility to Russia.
