Construction of a stamping workshop has begun at the Belji automobile plant

The construction of a modern stamping workshop has started at the Belji automobile plant in Belarus. The project is primarily aimed at increasing the localization level of passenger car production, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on May 20. The start of stamping production is scheduled for 2027.

The workshop plans to produce large-sized exterior body elements, including front and rear doors, sidewalls, fenders, trunk lids, hoods and roofs (with and without a hatch). The release of the front and rear parts of the floor, partitions of the engine compartment is provided.

The workshop area will exceed 5,000 sq.m. It will house a pressing line with a stamp storage area. A warehouse with an area of about 3,650 square meters will be built nearby. m for finished products before they are fed to the assembly line.

The company also said that work is beginning in parallel to expand the welding shop, which includes the construction of a new production building with an area of about 9,400 square meters. m. Additional robotic lines designed for automated production of body elements will be installed in the new building. Such an upgrade will lead to a 2.5—fold increase in the number of robots - up to 150 units in the entire enterprise. Technological capacities will be used for operations on subassembly and rolling of stamped parts.

The Belgee brand is currently represented in Russia by four models. These are the compact X50 and X50+ urban crossovers, the X70 midsize crossover and the S50 sedan.

Earlier, on March 20, sales of the new compact crossover Belgee X50+ began in Russia.
