Russia condemns the actions of those individuals who attacked the Baraka nuclear power plant in the UAE on May 17, causing an electric generator to catch fire. This was announced on May 19 by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova.
"We strongly condemn the reckless and illegal actions of those who, as in the case of Russian and Iranian nuclear energy infrastructure facilities, targeted a nuclear power plant in the UAE and deliberately escalated," Zakharova said on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
