Former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov is ready to join the assault units for a special military operation (SVO) in the event of a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. Denis Baluyev, the convict's lawyer, told about this on May 20.

"It is clearly clear to him that when signing a contract with him, the probability of being sent to assault units is maximum, since this procedure is in force now and its observance is strictly monitored," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
