Rosatom and Equatorial Guinea sign Memorandum of cooperation

On May 19, Nikolai Spassky, Deputy Director General for International Affairs of Rosatom, held a meeting with a delegation from Equatorial Guinea headed by Simeon Oyono Esono Ange, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Diaspora Affairs, where a memorandum of cooperation was signed.

"Nikolai Spassky and Simeon Oyono Esono Ange signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy," the Rosatom press service said in a statement on its website.

It is specified that the document assumes the formation of specialized working groups that will assess the prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the field of nuclear energy.

In addition, the press service reported that the memorandum provides for measures to develop human resources in the field of peaceful atom and the formation of a positive attitude towards nuclear energy in Equatorial Guinea.
