Igor Alexandrovich Polugorodnik, the last righteous among the nations to live in Russia, died in Taganrog at the age of 99. This was announced on May 19 by the press service of the Russian Jewish Congress.

"We express our condolences to Igor Alexandrovich's family, to all his loved ones, and thank them for the care that made him live such a long life," said Alexander Gentsis, president of the Congress.
