Cocaine found in bananas in supermarkets in the Netherlands
"Tens of kilograms" of cocaine were found in Ecuadorian bananas in two Lidl supermarkets in the Netherlands. The NL Times writes about this on May 19.
Sources close to the situation told the newspaper that "dozens of kilograms of cocaine were found hidden between shipments of bananas from Ecuador." The drugs were found in two Lidl stores in the province of North Brabant.
The drugs were seized and destroyed, the authors of the material specify. The police are investigating their origin. So far, investigators have not disclosed information about the specific number and types of narcotic substances found, as well as whether checks were carried out in other supermarkets.
In April, the Reuters news agency, citing Austrian police, reported that rat poison had been found in one of the cans of HiPP baby food seized due to safety concerns. Products began to be recalled from more than 1,000 supermarkets.
At the same time, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor indicated that HiPP baby food, which found rat poison produced at the factory in Germany, comes to Russia.
